Follow with us the lifecycle of the vine, through Facebook. We'll take periodically photos of Gemma, one of our Glera (exProsecco Grape) plant of our vineyard in Valdobbiadene. We'll follow specifically the development of three buds, Buddy the first one, Middy the middle one and Diana the highest. It will so be possible for you to see and better understand the growing process of the grape that donates us the wonderful product called wine. | Another Award for our Cama Brut | ||
| It's with great pride that we have the pleasure to inform you that we have just received the gold medal for our Fasol Menin Cama Brut 2010.The 41st Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Exhibition, held at San Pietro di Barbozza a small village in the hills of the home country of Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG took place last week. The Exhibition has been running since 1970 and is recognised globally as the most selective judging for Prosecco wine. The judges are local oenologists, wine experts, wine producers and sommeliers, whom interact with Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG on a daily basis and who whilst having developed a strong sentiment for Prosecco also have the highest quality expectations towards this wine. This is the serious test for wine producers in Valdobbiadene and only the best yearly production is awarded from over 200 winemakers in the Valdobbiadene Conegliano Prosecco DOCG area. This doesn't mean that the wines who didn't receive an award were not good - it simply means that the awarded were extraordinary! | ||

FASOL MENIN BRUT MAKES THE TOP HUNDRED,
PAPILLON’S 100 BEST WINES IN ITALY
The list of the Top Hundred wines in Italy for 2010 has been published by journalists Paolo Massobrio. The list of the Top Hundred wines in Italy for 2010 has been published by journalists Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti and soon the list will appear in the bestselling publication Il Golosario. Among the Top Hundred this year we find the Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore Brut “Cama” from the Fasol Menin winery. For the last nine years the two journalists with Il Papillon (the name of their consumer movement) have recognised the best wines of the year always excluding from the list any winery which has received the award in previous years. Up to today 900 wineries have been recognised. The 100 from 2010 will receive their awards at Golosaria which is taking place from November 6th to 8th at the Hotel Melià in Milan. The ceremony also offers visitors the opportunity to sample the award-winning wines. “The award is a challenge”, explains Marco Gatti who started the prize nine years ago. “We want to demonstrate the increasingly high quality of Italian wines today by offering consumers an opportunity to get to know a wide range of wines. This is different from the more traditional guides which are often the privilege of just a hundred or so labels”. |
